# Data Sources

## Overview

Data Sources establish connections between Publisher and external data repositories. These connections allow Publisher to interact with data stored across various platforms:

* Cloud Storage: Azure Blob Storage, AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage
* Databases: PostgreSQL, BigQuery
* Other supported data repositories

## Managing Data Sources

### Accessing Data Sources

1. Log in to Publisher
2. Click "Data Sources" in the navigation sidebar
3. View the Data Sources page with your connected repositories

### Viewing and Organizing

The Data Sources page displays a table of your connections with the following features:

* Default sorting by "Created On" (most recent first)
* Customizable sorting by clicking any column header in the table
* Search functionality for quick source location

## Connection Status

Data Sources display one of three status indicators:

| Status           | Description                         |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| **CONNECTED** | Active and functioning connection |
| **DISCONNECTED** | Connection currently inactive       |
| **INTERMITTENT** | Unstable or inconsistent connection |

## Next Steps

After reviewing your Data Sources, you can:

* Connect new data sources to expand your library
* Monitor existing connections through their status indicators
* Use connected sources to create and manage Collections

For detailed instructions on connecting specific data sources, refer to the corresponding guides in the left navigation menu.
